Professor David Hughes has an unparalleled knowledge of global food issues and opportunities with a constantly evolving and informed view on global food industry developments – from consumer, grocery retail and food service to life science companies, and everything in-between.
He is Emeritus Professor of Food Marketing at Imperial College London, and Visiting Professor at the Royal Agricultural University, U.K. He has lived and worked in Europe, North America, the Caribbean, Africa and South East Asia, assisting senior directors and managers of food and beverage companies, R&D organisations, farmer-owned businesses, government and others, in working out what the commercial implications of change in their industry are, and how they might respond to combat threats and embrace opportunities.
