REGIONALITY CLIENTS WIN SILVER 2018 AUSTRALIAN TOURISM AWARD!

Congratulations to Sarina Sugar Shed and Blue Ginger Picnics for both winning Silver at the Australian Tourism Awards.
Sarina Sugar Shed in the Excellence in Food Tourism category and Blue Ginger Picnics in the New Tourism Business category.

Sarina Sugar Shed and Blue Ginger Picnics have both participated in Regionality’s Agritourism Business Development Program, were among 200 national finalists vying for the prestigious award.

According to managing director and program facilitator Rose Wright, they have done their state – and Regionality – proud! “I’m so proud of them and so excited for them – they are simply amazing,” she says. “They’ve worked so hard to get here and our contribution has been to support them, build their confidence and ground-truth their ideas. We help them to focus on developing their business in a way that helps them to be remarkable. They are stars and demonstrate what’s possible if you focus on the right aspects of the business.”

Established in 1985, the Australian Tourism Awards are the industry’s peak awards. They recognise and promote excellence across a wide and diverse field of tourism businesses, from visitor information services, destination marketing and ecotourism to accommodation, restaurants and tours.

The winners were announced at the 2018 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards Gala Dinner in Launceston, Tasmania, on Friday, 1 March in front of an audience of their industry leaders and peers. Finalists were treated to Tassie’s signature hospitality, with a lavish dinner on the grounds of Cataract Gorge featuring some of the state’s finest food and beverages – including Flinders + Co. lamb, Tongola Cheese, Ninth Island sparkling wine and Strait Brands vodka – followed by an afterparty.
